5578 - Moroccan Rug - Beni Ourain Tribal Rug - Shag Pile - Natural Wool - 323 X 227cm
Moroccan Beni Ourain carpets are woven from natural sheep's wool and traditionally decorated with brown/grey/black geometric designs. Made by nomadic Berber tribes people, these rugs are elegantly simple in design, representing the sparse surrounds of the Moroccan landscape. The long shaggy pile of natural wool, feels incredible under bare foot.
This rug is part of the New Berber Beni Ourain rugs. They are still woven from the finest natural ivory sheep wool that covers the sheep's body, but the wool is dyed using nature's colour pigments such as flowers, roots, berries and even leaves and barks.
The result is funky, modern and with plenty of character.
This rug will easily suit any surrounding and the most discerning of tastes
